EEECHO has been recognized with two distinguished National FEMA Awards for our unique community education and preparedness training.

We work closely with Gulf Coast schools, particularly Gulfport Schools. EEECHO was awarded Central Elementary School’s 2021-2022 Partner of the Year. We work with scientists, professionals, experts and schools in sponsoring field learning opportunities for students and adults. We are the Mississippi Hub for the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice’s HBCU Consortium, which offers paid student internships. 

 

We provide a vast array of community education, through resources and informational training, workshops, virtual and hands on learning experiences.
