COMMUNITY ADVOCACY

DEFENDING TURKEY CREEK

In Gulfport's historic Turkey Creek community, rapid encroachment and unwanted development threaten both cultural heritage and vital wetland ecosystems. EEECHO stands shoulder-to-shoulder with local community leaders to fight back. Through civic organizing, policy advocacy, and coalition building, EEECHO supports residents in protecting their neighborhood from environmental degradation, worsening flood risks, and corporate land exploitation.
